So after a great Royal Rumble (well, I enjoyed it at least!), we’re rolling into another gimmick lead pay-per-view – Elimination Chamber. Elimination Chamber is headlined with two Elimination Chamber matches, one of which which could be excellent, one that could be…well…it’ll be a match. But who is likely to come out on top? In this article, I’ll take a look at WWE Elimination Chamber 2019’s Predictions.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber Match
Nia Jax & Tamina vs. The Riott Squad vs. Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville vs. The IIconics vs. Bayley & Sasha Banks vs. Naomi & Carmella
So this one will be “the match”.
Half of these teams have qualified outright, half have had qualification handed to them, and I’m not sure how many of these women can “go”. Only Bayley & Sasha Banks can really have a good match. I’m expecting shenanigans, but I feel Bayley & Banks are likely to get out of the chamber as champions.
Prediction: Bayley & Sasha Banks Wins
WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match
Daniel Bryan (c) vs. AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Samoa Joe vs. Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston
How to build a guy in one hour.
They gave Kingston the Seth Rollins treatment – a long run in a gauntlet match against his fellow competitors, and he came out looking amazing. From Bryan being champion without a real road to Wrestlemania, I’m really hoping that Kingston gets the match against Bryan and maybe a run with the title. I would love to see it!
Onto this match though, I’m feeling Bryan will win, but the big man will be Kingston. If he has a good run but comes up short, I feel like they may be giving him a headline match at Wrestlemania. I – for one – cannot wait.
Prediction: Daniel Bryan Wins
WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match
The Miz & Shane McMahon (c) vs. The Usos
So it’s pretty much telegraphed that the Smackdown Tag Team Champions will be splitting up before Wrestlemania for their match against each other for Wrestlemania. However, there’s another pay per view to come before Wrestlemania, and I feel like The Usos is a bit of a step backwards.
So I’m going for Miz & McMahon here.
Prediction: The Miz & Shane McMahon Win
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Buddy Murphy (c) vs. Akira Tozawa
So Hideo Itami left recently, and there was discussion this would have been his spot, so it’s going to Tozawa instead. This match again seems like a hold over until Wrestlemania, so I’m going for Buddy Murphy to retain as this match feels slightly thrown together.
Prediction: Buddy Murphy Wins
WWE Raw Women’s Championship
Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Ruby Riott
Rousey had a pretty good outing at The Royal Rumble, and Riott did have a nice showing at The Royal Rumble, but to be honest there would only be one winner here. Rousey is main eventing Wrestlemania and this is a hold over until then.
Prediction: Ronda Rousey Wins
Handicap Match for The Intercontinental Championship
Bobby Lashley & Lio Rush (c) vs Finn Bálor
Finn Bálor had a great showing against Brock Lesnar. Admittedly he lost, and got destroyed after the bell, but he had a good showing. A lot of Wrestlemania planning has been holdovers, but I feel that this could see a change in belts. Finn has been receiving a bit of a push, and with a handicap match I feel that the underdog usually wins.
Prediction: Finn Bálor wins
No Disqualification Match
Braun Strowman vs. Baron Corbin
Thank goodness this a No DQ match, as having a straight up match would be terrible. I don’t really care.
Prediction: Brawn Strowman wins
