Happy Wrestlemania week everybody! This week is a bit special for me (hence the delay in this post) as I’m currently in Dallas as I’m going to Wrestlemania! I cannot wait, as I have well and truly ticked this off my bucket list, so even though the card may be a bit underwhelming, this is going to be the best Mania ever for me!

Even though, the build has been terrible to this, as it seems vastly overbooked and confusing at times. Nevertheless the match quality should be pretty good, and there is always an anticipation for the matches. I’m going to try and make sense of it.

So without further ado, here are my Wrestlemania 32 Predictions.

20160222_WM32-keyart_MATCH_TripleH_NEW_1920x1080--f2fe26ad884144186a50c79668701777

WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Triple H (c) vs. Roman Reigns

So Roman Reigns is in his second straight main event of Wrestlemania (though that is open to interpretation), and this match should see Roman once again gain the championship, as it feels too predictable.

What isn’t predictable is exactly what will happen. Reigns will be booed out of the building should he win, so whether they hot shot the match into a triple threat (which they did last year), or turn Reigns heel (which does seem to be talked about at least) remains to be seen. There are rumours that this match won’t be on last too.

Either way, I cannot see Triple H be champion after Wrestlemania

Prediction: Roman Reigns Wins

Hell In A Cell Match

Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker

This match is a bit of an overbooked mess.

So Shane McMahon returned the night after Fastlane to a rapturous reception. Immediately he ran down his family and how poorly WWE has done recently, leading to Vince putting him in a match in Wrestlemania against The Undertaker for control of RAW. If Undertaker fails to win, then he will never compete at Wrestlemania again.

If WWE would do complex storylines which feature the lesser of two evils, then I wouldn’t have a problem with this. Unfortunately wrestling as an art form is fairly cut & dry with good guys versus bad guys. As such, I don’t like this. But it will be a bit of a spectacle to watch.

The stipulations suggest Shane wins, however it will be particularly grating if it does happen. As such, I’m going for The Undertaker to win. Not least as there is a suggestion this isn’t his last match as he is booked for the European Tour. And I cannot buy Shane winning.

Prediction: The Undertaker Wins

Street Fight

Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar (/w Paul Heyman)

This could be probably the best “Main Event” of the show, as it seems like it could be the most watchable.

Ambrose has been on fire and pretty much the lead babyface, his match against Triple H at Roadblock was a classic, even if it was a bit of a foregone conclusion. In short though the build for this has been superb with Brock basically trying to destroy Dean but cannot do so.

Dean is going to bump like a monster against Brock, and whilst we haven’t had a classic Dean vs Heyman promo, it is a simple story well told. Dean has closed in loads in the markets, so there are people who think he will win. Whilst it would be something to do, I cannot see this happen. Lesnar to make Dean look incredibly strong is very possible though.

Prediction: Brock Lesnar Wins

WWE Divas Title Match

Charlotte (c) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch

This could be the match of the night.

Three of the four horsewomen in this title match in front of a crowd that wants to see them do well. If they give them time, this could be the match of the night, and the stop-start “Divas Revolution” could be underway.

I want Becky Lynch to win, but I doubt it will happen. Instead I am going with my head and Sasha Banks to win the title.

Prediction: Sasha Banks Wins

Handicap Match

The New Day vs. The League of Nations

So The New Day face turn is complete, by going against a team of people that have stagnated – The League of Nations.

There are rumours that The New Day is seen as a marquee act in WWE internally, so we could get a flashy entrance here for The New Day. It has also been rumoured that The New Day will get a rub in the Handicap Match to not make it a handicap match, maybe an appearance from The Rock here?

Either way, I cannot see The League of Nations winning this. This is one of my banker bets. The New Day to win.

Prediction: The New Day Wins

20160307_WM32-keyart_MATCH_KalistoRyback_1920x1080--983d76314f9262b3c351e91fbcefe253

WWE United States Title Match

Kalisto (c) vs. Ryback

So another turn was the turn of Ryback, who has become a bit of a bully of smaller wrestlers. He has his eyes set on Kalisto’s US Title in this match, and with a new look, and a new attitude, as well as a rumour of a post-Mania push, I can see Ryback winning this one.

Prediction: Ryback Wins

Ladder Match for the WWE Intercontinental Title

Kevin Owens (c) vs. Sami Zayn vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Zack Ryder vs. Sin Cara vs. The Miz vs. Stardust

This seems a bit overbooked, but the Kevin Owens show has been brilliant. He appear to have had everything thrown at him recently and ended up doing very well. His performance on last week’s Raw was superb, and who would think Zack Ryder would have a decent match at Wrestlemania?

This will be a fairly short cluster for about 15 minutes, as much as it would be brilliant for Zack Ryder to win, I would guess the favourite would be Sami Zayn. It seems like the most logical choice. So I’m reckoning he will win.

Prediction: Sami Zayn Wins

20160303_WM32-keyart_MATCH_AjStylesJericho_1920x1080--254cf568c0871ceb096414387d8d10e6

AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho

A sleeper hit at the grandest stage of them all could be a match we’ve seen a few times before. AJ and Chris Jericho have been putting on some great matches recently, and this one – given time – should be just as good.

As far as a prediction, I’d go with AJ Styles. He is the investment for the future, and Jericho is the gatekeeper to the main event. AJ to go on to other things after winning here.

Prediction: AJ Styles Wins

20160314_WM32-keyart_MATCH_Andre_1920x1080--dcbbde9941804fd9438de4aa6d9ffd95

André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

And so onto the pre show matches, including the standard André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. This had so much promise but it doesn’t appear to mean much anymore. Which sucks, as Cesaro struggled after winning and The Big Show seemingly did nothing after winning.

One of the bigger names in the field is The Wyatt Family. Now whilst the favourite is Braun Strowman, I think the winner will be Bray Wyatt. Along with Ryback, there have been talk of Bray being built up again to be strong. He needs a win and this would be a good one for him to win.

Prediction: Bray Wyatt Wins

20160314_WM32-keyart_MATCH_UsosDudleys_1920x1080--0587053cfe9cc3bee8f819e63ae15370

The Usos vs. The Dudley Boyz

This match isn’t great and has the weakest build. The Dudleys are now heels again, in another change recently, after turning on the Uso’s.

I’d love to say The Dudleys to win, to challenge the New Day in a tag title match. But I’m going for an The Uso’s to win.

Prediction: The Usos Wins

20160325_WM32_MATCH_Divas_final--9f1f271b4f3f61e519488513440caf6b

Brie Bella, Paige, Natalya, Alicia Fox and Eva Marie vs. Lana, Summer Rae, Naomi, Emma & Tamina

This better be on the pre-show.

Hopefully it will be short, and Eva Marie and Lana don’t even enter the ring. Team Total Divas to win.

Prediction: Team Total Divas Wins

Anyway, those are my predictions, what are yours? Leave them in the comments!
