Sooooo…. you’ve had your two minutes of breathing space since the last PPV…. it’s clearly time for another one! Can I just say – WWE Network subscribers are well and truly getting their monies worth out of their subscriptions these days – am I right? Anyway enough of that – let’s get onto looking at the scheduled matches you can expect to see this weekend! Here are our WWE Extreme Rules 2017 Predictions.

Fatal 5 Way Universal Title No. 1 Contender’s Match

Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe

This match I am actually looking forward to as it has the potential to be a fantastic few minutes for me… If nothing else than the fact Finn Balor is in the ring. We have stepping up to the plate Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt and Samoa Joe. The winner will compete against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. I have to admit this one is a bit of a hard one to call. I don’t think Bray Wyatt is going to walk away with a win, maybe he is there because having a fatal 5 way would be weird with just 4 people right? Reigns has been running riot recently and I am still sore that he retired The Undertaker… He has the potential to win this. But I want to see Finn Balor get a chance to get his title back if I am completely honest. Do I think he could take on both Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe – I am not sure… I do see it between him or Roman Reigns though.

Prediction: Finn Balor to win

WWE Intercontinental Championship

Dean Ambrose (c) vs The Miz Intercontinental Championship

So this match – interesting! If Ambrose is disqualified as he was earlier in May – then he will lose the Intercontinental Championship. So I predict we will see Miz trying his absolute best to force Ambrose to be disqualified. We all know that Miz and Maryse like to play dirty so they will probably bring it on Sunday. I just cannot get behind Miz no matter what – Ambrose is going to really step up to the plate here and show us all the Lunatic Fringe that we know and love. He will have his work cut out and who knows how many times Maryse will interfere, but I am firmly in the Ambrose camp cheering him on.

Prediction: Dean Ambrose to Win

WWE Raw Women’s Championship

Alexa Bliss (c) vs Bayley

Bayley is going up against champ Alexa Bliss in a Kendo Stick on a Pole Match. It promises to be quite a painful match and tension between these two superstars is at an all time high at the moment. Much as we all love Bayley is Alexa Bliss right that Bayley just doesn’t have what it takes to defeat Bliss now? Bayley demanded this match up so here’s to hoping she is going to bring her feisty toughness back and really show Bliss what she is made of. I am not sure on this one as to who will win. My heart says I want Bayley to win – she’s just too adorable. But I can’t help thinking Alexa Bliss is going to still be the champion come Monday morning….

Prediction: Alexa Bliss to win

RAW Tag Team Championship

The Hardy Boyz (c) vs Cesaro & Sheamus

The RAW Tag Team belts are up for grabs in this steel cage match. Cesaro and Sheamus have become a formidable team up defying all odds. They are such an odd match yet it works. They work well together now and really have a momentum going. Attacking The Hardy Boyz after their win at Payback has shown that Cesaro and Sheamus are ready for The Hardy’s on Sunday night. Can they keep it up in a steel cage where there is no escape from the current champions? The Hardy Boyz set this match stipulation and it clearly is one of their strengths. Much as it is no secret that I adore Sheamus I don’t really think that they have what it takes to be the Tag Team Champions for more than 5 minutes. Which at the rate WWE are knocking out these PPV’s – it could happen to be fair!

Prediction: The Hardy Boyz to win

WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Neville (c) vs Austin Aries

Austin Aries is a glutton for punishment. This submission match is his third attempt to oust Neville from his throne, and to be fair to him he is the closest it has come to beating Neville. But you have to wonder how many times we need to keep watching this pair go at it. The Cruiserweight division has many other competitors – surely just watching a re-run between these two every PPV is going to get old quickly? Hopefully this match will see the end of them for a while. As much as Aires is a brilliant contender for Neville I just don’t see Neville giving up his seat just yet. Neville has shown he is more than worthy of his self dubbed title of King of the Cruiserweights.

Prediction: Neville to win
