There has been three huge weeks since our last show. Three! This is the second Raw PPV since the brand split, and whilst Raw has been rather strong, Smackdown has been the much more stronger brand even with a perceived weaker roster. I’m not entirely sure exactly what is happening with this PPV. It feels like Survivor Series is being prepared as the bigger PPV with – possibly – a Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg match. This is a shame, as there is a history-making moment that WWE should be screaming from the rooftops. With it being so minor, I feel it is quite a predictable PPV. Here are our WWE Hell in a Cell 2016 Predictions.
WWE Raw Women’s Championship (Hell in a Cell)
Sasha Banks (c) vs. Charlotte
So the history is Sasha Banks (who became champion recently) is facing Charlotte in the first ever Hell in a Cell match featuring women. Furthermore, they have been suggesting that this match is the main event. Whether that’s a CM Punk unfriendly “main event” that is actually not the last match on the card or if they are actually main event remains to be seen, but I hope it’s the latter. Furthermore, this one will have a real face – with hometown girl Sasha Banks defending against an ever more confident Charlotte.
Sasha Banks must win here. It is a moment that is needed for the fans to go home happy and cement it as a history making moment. Well done girls.
Prediction: Sasha Banks Wins
WWE Universal Championship (Hell in a Cell)
Kevin Owens (c) vs. Seth Rollins
With the women being in the main event the men are knocked down to the semi-main with Owens taking on Rollins inside the cell. This has been a rather watchable feud most notably for Owens’ BFF, Chris Jericho, who has been reinvigorated recently. He’s dangerous close to a face turn.
The money for Survivor Series is Owens vs. Jericho in Toronto, so with that in mind, Owens will retain.
Prediction: Kevin Owens Wins
WWE US Championship – (Hell in a Cell)
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Rusev
Well, this month finally gave us a reason to boo the proud of his country and proud of his wife. He’s a bit of a sexist.
He got involved in the feud between Charlotte and Sasha Banks, which obviously gave the rub to Roman Reigns in the latest attempt to get him over. Of course, nobody really cared.
This will be in the cell. Hopefully this will end the feud between these two.
Prediction: Roman Reigns wins
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
TJ Perkins (c) vs. Brian Kendrick
Let’s be honest, TJ’s transfer to the main roster has been dreadful. It isn’t his fault, people are writing for him which is affecting his performance. In the ring? He is superb. Outside? Not great.
Brian Kendrick has been better, but part of me thinks they are not quite giving up on TJ Perkins yet. Keep Perkins involved. It would be great.
Prediction: TJ Perkins Wins
WWE Tag Team Championship
The New Day (c) vs. Cesaro & Sheamus
Urgh, this feud is terrible.
So with the non-finish last month didn’t see a triple threat match for a championship, instead Cesaro & Sheamus are thrown together in an odd couple tag team, put up against a fastly going sour The New Day.
This feels like a placeholder until The New Day breaks Demolition’s record. The New Day to retain.
Prediction: The New Day Wins
Big Cass & Enzo Amore vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson
One of the highlights of the last few weeks has been the ever improving schtick of Big Cass & Enzo Amore. Their sketch on last week’s Raw where their microphone was cut, and they lead the crowd in their routine was absolute genius. They’ve been great.
Gallows & Anderson on the other hand have been struggling recently. They are not unsalvageable though, a win over a team that can take a loss would be good.
Prediction: Gallows & Anderson Wins
Anyway, they are my predictions. What are yours? Please leave them in the comments!
