In what seems like an eternity, we finally have another Pay Per View. After the abysmalness of Backlash this weekend is Money in the Bank. It’s one of those pay per views that is really good at shaking things up, what with the ability to push a character to the top of the mountain again with the briefcase. As always, there are two Money in the Bank briefcases: one for men, and one for women. So who will walk out with them? Who will be the champions? And also, just how many CM Punk chants will there be? It is Chicago after all. Here are our WWE Money in the Bank 2018 Predictions.

WWE Championship – Last Man Standing Match

AJ Styles (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

This feud needs to end. I feel it will at this juncture. With the last two being draws and Nakamura’s stock diminishing rapidly in the WWE I feel like if they are to finally, finally put the belt on him it needs to be here. Or it will never happen.

I’m – sadly – going for never.

I feel like they won’t use this opportunity to pull the trigger. It’s been a disaster and AJ Styles needs to move onto better things. I hold out hope that this could probably be the best match of the lot. But jeez, give them time to do it.

Prediction: AJ Styles

WWE Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match

Samoa Joe vs. Kevin Owens vs. Bobby Roode vs. Braun Strowman vs. The Miz vs. Rusev vs. Finn Balor vs. One of The New Day

This match could steal the show.

There is a lot of good, and more important deserving talent in this match. And here’s the thing – there are very few people in this match who I cannot see winning it.

I don’t see Rusev or Bobby Roode winning the briefcase, both are a bit too low and need rebuilding, but everybody else can lay a claim to victory. Right now I feel it could be Samoa Joe who would win. I feel it’s going to be a Smackdown star as the Raw Brand could win the Women’s Money in the Bank. He has been on fire recently and feel like out of everybody it benefits Joe the most.

Prediction: Samoa Joe

WWE Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match

Lana vs. Natalya vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Charlotte vs. Ember Moon vs. Becky Lynch vs. Naomi vs. Sasha Banks

Again, a tough one to call.

I’m not sure Lana should be in this match, she’s so green and has better roles for her, but nevertheless she is in. I feel one name stands out in this match and I feel that name is Natalya. She has the most storyline reason to win: She has been buddy buddy with Ronda Rousey in a “that was quick to happen” face turn. And there has been an association between them. That way I could see Natalya cashing in on a new champion Ronda Rousey which would lead to a programme.

Prediction: Natalya

WWE Raw Women’s Championship Match

Nia Jax (c) vs. Ronda Rousey

Blimey, they got to this quick.

I am not sure this is the right match for Rousey. The Wrestlemania match worked well because she was with experienced participants. Jax is not on that level yet. Maybe a holdover with somebody like Mickey James would have worked better but there we are.

I hope that Rousey loses. Not from a personal standpoint but from a character development standpoint. I feel that with Asuka’s recent undefeated streak it becomes not so much of a thing when she loses as it makes life difficult. So I feel a long undefeated streak for Rousey could be detrimental.

With that said, I feel a victory here for Rousey could be happening. I feel that have Rousey win, followed by a Natalya cash in, could keep Rousey strong but give her the loss that she needs. Have her chase the belt for a bit.

Prediction: Ronda Rousey

WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship Match

Carmella (c) vs. Asuka

Speaking of undefeated streaks.

Carmella has been as good on the mic as she’s been awful in the ring since becoming champion. Her Mellabration was excellent in London, and Asuka could – in theory – destroy her. So I’m 50/50 on who is going to win here. I’m going to say Asuka, but by nefarious means, meaning Carmella will retain.

Prediction: Asuka

Roman Reigns vs. Jinder Mahal

Urgh.

Not even with Jinder Mahal: a character so universally hated, can get Roman Reigns cheered. I don’t even want to talk about this match. Reigns to win.

Prediction: Roman Reigns

WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships

The Bludgeon Brothers (c) vs. The Good Brothers

So The Good Brothers finally get a title match on Smackdown. Unfortunately I cannot see them winning. The Bludgeon Brothers right now are being positioned as unstoppable monsters so due to the number of people on the card I feel this match could be a short one unfortunately. Harper & Rowan to win.

Prediction: The Bludgeon Brothers

Bobby Lashley vs. Sami Zayn

Urgh. What another crap feud. Lashley’s feud with Zayn has been abysmal, with truly one of the worst segments on Raw recently with Zayn bringing up Lashley’s “sisters”. Lashley has already been lost in the shuffle a bit what with his abysmal face run so far, so I feel like Zayn is here just to be beaten by Lashley. Heel turn for Bobby please.

Prediction: Bobby Lashley

Intercontiental Championship

Seth Rollins (c) vs. Elias

Again, this could steal the show.

Seth Rollins has been on an absolute tear recently regularly winning match of the night awards. Put in there with the more-than-passable Elias with strong character work, I feel this could be a decent outing if given some time.

I predict that Elias will win. There are rumours that Rollins will be the next challenger for Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. Although there is a pay per view inbetween I feel that Rollins that could be built up as the challenger.

Prediction: Seth Rollins

Daniel Bryan vs. Big Cass

Again, this feud continues. Their match at the last PPV was poor, and Bryan did his best. Big Cass is limited, and there are rumours he is in the doghouse. Daniel Bryan to win.

Prediction: Daniel Bryan

Anyway, those are my predictions. What are yours? Please leave them in the comments below!
